Trustees – what is the opportunity?


MindMosaic are a growing charitable organisation, who deliver mental health services into the local Inverclyde community, we are a proactive and passionate organisation, who delivers hands on support to those in need, be that counselling, in a one to one, group based therapies or even training. In the last year we have delivered over 3,000 hours of counselling therapies.


As a growing organisation and with the recent divestment of the Children services, we are looking at the development of a new, vibrant and exciting strategy and chapter and thus, in support, are looking to expand the skill base of our board of directors/trustees. The board have identified areas where we feel skills are required to enable us to move forward with both the development of a new strategy and also the plans/actions arising from this.


We require trustees with the following specific skills, however don’t be put off by this, if you have other skills which you believe would be important, then please don’t hesitate to apply.

• Skills in legal matters, contracts, lease agreements etc.

• Skills in event management, fundraising and associated activities.

• Skills in marketing, including social media channels

An interest in mental health and its effects on individuals and communities is essential, although an in depth knowledge is not expected.

Other essential skills/attributes required include

• A passion/desire to make a difference

• To operate within all (including equality and diversity) local and national guidelines

• Understanding the criticality of confidentiality

• Professional approach to work

• The ability to engage and communicate well to a broad range of people

You will work closely with an established and proactive group of trustees who are currently reviewing the strategic direction of the organisation and whom expect you to get immediately engaged in helping shape the future, this is a really exciting time to get involved.

Mind Mosaic Counselling and Therapy is an Inverclyde charity providing counselling and therapy service to people in Inverclyde.


We are well qualified professionals with a passionate belief in the positive benefits that a therapeutic intervention can have in bringing about personal growth and development, empowering individuals and improving relationships.


Our provision includes but is not limited to high quality counselling and psychotherapy; Trauma therapy, specialist adult survivor services, Perinatal mental health services for families affected, counselling training. As well as various groups and diversionary activities.


Mind Mosaic currently receives no statutory funding and relies mainly on grants and income generation.


What are we looking for from you?



• Attend a full board meeting every month for 2 hours

• Involvement and attendance at Annual Strategic Planning Reviews

• To offer time and energy to specific work streams as and when they come up

• Also, note that these roles are not remunerated
