  • Craigend Resource Centre McLeod Street Greenock, Scotland, PA15 2HD United Kingdom (map)

Taster session using Mindfulness as a resource to help manage chronic pain.

Mindfulness-based pain management involves using meditation, breathing and focused awareness to alter the cognitive and emotional experience of pain, in other words, alters how we relate to our experience of pain, reducing it's intensity and associated stress.

Techniques include body scans, mindful breathing, and compassionate acceptance to shift focus from pain and so lower anxiety.

These sessions are part funded by Inverclyde Communities Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund.
