MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy has prepared this document to explain how we manage your data in relation to the use of our website.

In this statement, references to ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘our’ relate to MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy. This Privacy Statement is designed to ensure that MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came into force on Friday 25th May 2018 and the Data Protection Act 2018.

MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy comply with these regulations and are committed to protecting your privacy.

The Information We Collect

We will only collect and process information with your consent. We collect your email address when you contact us so that we may reply to your email or render other services, such as sending you information or inviting you to events, seminars or training sessions.

We will not use your email or other contact details for any other reason. You can opt in/out to receive further communications about MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy through email, as well as using the controls at the bottom of every email campaign we send.

Your contact information will be stored securely by us. 

We store this information with a number of secure third parties. These include:

  • Squarespace - our website content management platform

  • Google Sheets - which stores our signup lists from the website

  • Mailjet - our email communication platform

  • Tacklit - our client management system

  • Donorbox - our donation platform

  • Stripe - our payment processing service

  • Eventbrite - which we use for event registration in some cases

  • Goodbox - which we use for taking in-person donations


Our website also collects and stores standard information about you to help improve your experience. This information will be collected and analysed for monitoring purposes. We may share this data publicly, but this information will be shared in an anonymised format.

If you access support through MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy we will collect the following information:

  • Name

  • Email address

  • Telephone numbers

  • Your postal address

  • Date of birth

  • Emergency contact details

  • Details specific to you i.e. gender, marital status, employment status, disabilities (if applicable) and details pertinent to your reason for referral

  • GP details


If you donate to us, we will also collect:

  • Payment details from your debit/credit card

  • Your status as a UK taxpayer (for the purposes of GiftAid)


If you pay to attend an event via the website, we will collect:

  • Payment details from your debit/credit card

  • Supplementary information to ensure the smooth running of an event (eg. dietary and access requirements)


We will only use the information you give us for the purposes it was collected. We will not, under any circumstances, share or sell your personal data with any third party for their own purposes, and you will not receive marketing from any other companies, charities or other organisations as a result of giving your information to us.

Access to the data was store is restricted to authorised MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy employees only. The data held on Squarespace, Google Sheets, Mailjet and Donorbox is also accessible to authorised employees of our marketing support agency, The Marketing Department.

There is some other information that we collect in relation to the operating of the website:

  • Website Analytics - This website collects personal data to power our site analytics, including:

    • Information about your browser, network, and device.

    • Web pages you visited prior to coming to this website.

    • Your IP address.

    • This information may also include details about your use of this website, including:

      • Clicks

      • Internal links

      • Pages visited

      • Scrolling

      • Timestamps

This information is collected automatically by Squarespace, our website analytics provider, to learn about site traffic and activity.

  • Cookies - This website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of text that download to a device when a visitor accesses a website or app. We have a cookies permissions box which presents itself when you first visit the website.

  • Fonts - This website uses font files from Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts. To properly display this site to you, servers where the font files are stored may receive personal information about you, including:

    • Information about your browser, network, or device

    • Your IP address


What Rights Do I Have?

  • You have certain rights in relation to the personal data that we hold about you.

  • You can ask to see what information we hold – this is called a ‘data subject access request’.
