MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy receives £70,000

from Global’s Make Some Noise

Today, local charity, MindMosaic Counselling & Therapy announced that it has received a grant from Global’s Make Some Noise – the official charity of Global, the Media & Entertainment group to help support the amazing work they do with clients across Inverclyde and Scotland who typically can’t access much needed counselling and therapy.

MindMosaic, located in Inverclyde was awarded a grant for £70,000 from Global’s Make Some Noise thanks to generous donations from the UK public and partners. The grant means that they can continue supporting individuals and families experiencing emotional distress, mental health challenges, and life-changing events by providing accessible counselling and therapeutic services in their local community.

They are one of the 39 small charities who received a share of the funding from Global’s Make Some Noise, for life-changing projects in local communities across the UK.

The funding will provide a vital lifeline in communities – supporting Global’s Make Some Noise continued vision that nobody in the UK should face life’s toughest challenges alone, tackling issues such as mental health, poverty and homelessness.

Every year, grants are awarded to small charities across the country to help fund the vital services they offer. Since its launch in 2014, Global’s Make SomeNoise hassupported 566 incredible local community projects and made a life changing difference to over 240,000 people across the UK.   

Projects funded by Global’s Make Some Noise deliver crucial services in local communities. These include food banks, befriending initiatives for elderly and isolated individuals, cancer wellbeing programmes, and support for those affected by domestic abuse or those seeking refuge. They also provide employment opportunities, as well as physical and speech therapy for people with disabilities.

The new project grant awarded by Global’s Make Some Noise will provide direct support to over 21,000 people across the UK, while proving further support to 51,000 people through essential services including:

  • 10,339 counselling sessions, including 10,113 one-to-one sessions and 226 group sessions, with provisions such as CBT-based psychoeducational programmes and closed group therapy.

  • Supported lodgings, one-to-one crisis support, and preventative education for 3,400 vulnerable young people aged 16–25.

  • 1,000 physiotherapy sessions for children under five with cerebral palsy and other motor learning impairments.

  • Befriending calls to 800 parents experiencing pre and postnatal depression and anxiety.

  • 586 Mindfulness Journals distributed to young people aged 18–30 living with or beyond cancer, helping them build coping skills, resilience and support their wellbeing.

Global’s Make Some Noise funds vital life-changing projects across the UK, delivered by small, local charities, with the aim of making sure nobody is left facing life’s toughest challenges alone. Projects include those providing shelter and safety, supporting physical and mental health, preventing isolation, and improving life skills. Tackling issues such as bereavement, food poverty, domestic abuse, homelessness, and loneliness. Additionally, Charity Partners will also be supported by a Learning and Development programme to support their longer-term operations and sustainability.  Global’s Make Some Noise also raises awareness of the wide range of issues its funding is tackling with over 29 million weekly listeners across Global’s radio brands including Capital, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X, Capital XTRA and Gold Radio.
